Shiphrah and Puah: The Brave Midwives

Exodus 1

Long ago in Egypt, there were two women named Shiphrah and Puah. They were midwives who helped mothers when their babies were born. The king of Egypt told them to do something very wrong- he wanted them to hurt the Hebrew babies. But Shiphrah and Puah loved God and knew that what the king asked was not right. They were very brave and decided to protect the babies instead. God was pleased with them for doing what was good and right. He kept them safe and blessed their families with joy.
