The Woman Jesus Made Well

Mark 5:25-34; Luke 8:43-48

There was once a woman who had been sick for a very long time. Twelve whole years! She tried many things to get better but nothing helped. Her body felt weak and her heart felt tired. But she had heard stories of how Jesus cared for people and made them well. When she heard Jesus was passing by, she believed that just touching His robe would make her well. She felt shy and did not want to bother Him, so she quietly moved through the crowd. In the crowd, she gently reached out and touched the edge of His clothes. Right away she felt strong and healthy again! Jesus stopped and looked around. He wanted to know who had touched Him, not to be angry, but because He cared. The woman felt a little scared but she came forward. Jesus looked at her with kind eyes. He was happy she had come to Him for help. He told her that her trust in Him had brought healing and she could go in peace. The woman walked away with a big smile, knowing Jesus had made her whole again.
