Elizabeth

Luke 1:5-25, 39-45, 57-66

Elizabeth was a kind woman who loved God. She and her husband Zechariah had prayed for a baby for many years, but they still did not have one. Even so, they kept trusting God. One day, an angel told Zechariah that Elizabeth would finally have a baby boy named John. Elizabeth was so happy when she found out she was really going to have a baby. A few months later, Elizabeth’s cousin Mary came to visit her. Mary was also going to have a baby called Jesus. When Mary said hello, Elizabeth felt her own baby jump for joy inside her tummy! It was a happy sign that something very special was happening. Elizabeth hugged Mary and thanked God for being so good to both of them.
