Peninnah: The Woman Who Forgot to Be Kind

1 Samuel 1

Peninnah was part of a big family with a man named Elkanah and his other wife, Hannah. Peninnah had many children, but Hannah had none and that made her very sad. Instead of being kind, Peninnah sometimes said mean things that made Hannah feel sad. She did not realize that her words were hurting someone’s heart. Later, God answered Hannah’s prayers and blessed her with a baby boy named Samuel. Peninnah saw that God loved Hannah too. She learned that God cares for everyone and wants us to be gentle and kind to others, especially when they are sad.
