Esther: The Brave Queen

Esther 2-9

Esther was a kind young woman who loved God. After Queen Vashti left the palace, the king chose Esther to be the new queen. One day, a man named Haman made a wicked plan to hurt Esther’s people, the Israelites. When Mordecai, Esther’s cousin heard about it, he told Esther. Esther felt scared, because going to the king without being called by the king was dangerous. But Mordecai reminded her that God had put her in the palace for a reason. Esther prayed and then chose to be brave. She went to the king and asked him to come to a special dinner. At the right moment, Esther told the king about Haman’s plan and asked him to protect her people. The king listened to her. He stopped Haman’s plan and saved the Israelites. The people celebrated with joy, thankful for Esther’s courage and God’s care.
