2 Timothy 1:5; 3:14-15

Timothy was a young boy who grew up to love Jesus very much. Two very special women helped him grow in his faith- his mother Eunice and his grandmother Lois. They both loved God with all their hearts. Lois, Timothy’s grandmother and Eunice, Timothy’s mother spent time teaching him stories from Scripture. They told him about God’s love, God’s promises and all the wonderful things God had done. They also lived in a way that helped Timothy see what it looked like to follow Jesus. Together, Lois and Eunice filled Timothy’s life with love, faith and gentle teaching. Because of these two women, Timothy grew up strong in his faith and later became one of Paul’s helpers and travelled with him to share God’s love with many people.
